Record Types
Spokane Regional Emergency Communications (SREC) is the custodian of emergency, non-emergency (Crime Check), and dispatch audio for Spokane County.
SREC does not hold law enforcement investigative files, police reports, online reports, photos, dash or body camera footage, CAD notes, or fire department records other than call audio. Those records are held by the originating agency.

Requesting Records from SREC
Spokane Regional Emergency Communications (SREC) uses a Records Request Portal to make requesting records more efficient and transparent.
Using the online portal ensures that records personnel have all of the information needed to process your request. It also offers the convenience of receiving records electronically and allows the requestor to check the status of the request at any time. If you do not already have an account, you will need to create one in order to submit a request using the portal.

- SREC responds to requests for public records in accordance with the Public Records Act, RCW 42.56.
- Public Records Act exemptions can be found within RCW 42.56.
- SREC holds only certain records for its partner law enforcement agencies.
- SREC may charge fees pursuant to the fee schedule.
